Camden International Film Festival

Mari and Brooks had the opportunity to attend the Camden International Film Festival (CIFF) and visited a few classes at the Maine Media Workshops.

A course taught by Stephen McCarthy, “Documentary Camera”, explored the camera’s role in the storytelling process. Alice Brooks’ course named “HDSLR Cinema” addressed the benefits and challenges of using HDSLR cameras to achieve a professional-quality cinematic look. The end projects of the students from these classes were GREAT & fun to see.

Coincidentally, Mari and Brooks visited with their Baltimore acquaintances doctor Jacek Mostwin and the documentary filmmaker Peter Mullet, whose course was “The Human Side of Medicine.” Bonnemaison has worked with Dr. Jacek Mostwin on a project for the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Urology Department.
