Flash Back Friday Lucio met with Simone D’Ippolito, one of the owners of Pelagos Diving Center Lampedusa.

Simone has always felt the peace of being underwater and finds it an honor to see its entire beauty. Here are two excerpts from their interview.

• Simone shared how the fish, flora, and fauna of the Mediterranean Sea in Lampedusa have been changing over the past 20 years. As well as whose responsibility it is, from a local to global standpoint.
• Another subject was how the role of SCUBA instructors in today’s society can be helpful in raising awareness of marine life. Simone is very passionate about raising this awareness.
