Donald Wilson revisiting the place where he first met Lucio in Florence, Italy.

In May 2017, Donald was waiting for a plane and spending one night in the city.

Lucio was in town because he was traveling to bring Maribelle (33 Isole’s sailboat) from Livorno, Italy, a few kilometers off Florence, to Palermo, Italy.

Lucio’s plan to sail around Italy was already in full swing, and it was this chance meeting at Il Barrino, a local trattoria, that sparked the idea of turning 33 Isole into a full-fledged production.
